Vertical Release Moves: Progressions and Peer Spotting

In the constantly expanding world of vertical arts, progressive skill-building towards full release moves is more and more important. We’ll dig into how we can understand what the body is doing and how to spot for safety. Learn skills for yourself as a practitioner and as a peer supporter or coach. We’ll start with skills like back balance to front balance or full hang, open dive, and faith drop. We'll then open the conversation to progressions for skills brought by the group.

Must have a regular practice on vertical apparatus (silks or rope) and be confident with inversions in the air. Participants should also be familiar with beats and several drops. For intermediate/advanced practitioners or coaches working regularly with advancing students.
